CONSTRUCTION
- This shawl is worked from the bottom up, beginning with a picot cast on. The lace charts are worked first, then the body is worked in bands of alternating stockinette and garter stitch.
- The shawl is constructed of 4 triangles: 2 small front triangles and 2 large back triangles. The small and large triangles are separated by 2 side spines; the large triangles are separated by the center back spine.
GAUGE
- 18 stitches & 28 rows = 4″ in stockinette stitch, relaxed after blocking
- 18 stitches & 32 rows = 4″ in garter stitch, relaxed after blocking
- One 16-stitch repeat from Chart A measures 4″ wide, relaxed after blocking
- One 16-stitch repeat from Chart B measures 3¾” wide, relaxed after blocking
NEEDLES
- One 32″ circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed
- Suggested Size: 3½ mm (US 4)
