Product description

Like the windswept drifts of snow on sand, Ecola evokes the arcs and whorls of nature’s divine geometry. This side-to-side pullover is awash in precise, mirrored cables bounded by horizontal rib at the shoulders and garter stitch at the hem and neckline. Each detail is etched in relief by Peerie’s plump Merino, letting every stitch stand as strong as ancient rocks on a beaten shore.

    CONSTRUCTION

    • The body of this pullover is worked flat in pieces from side-to-side. The shoulders and side seams are sewn together and then the sleeves are picked up and worked circularly down to the cuff.
    • As the garment is worked sideways, three length options are provided: 24¼“/61.5 cm for Version I, 27¼“/69 cm for Version II, and 30¼“/77 cm for Version III. In general, Version I is recommended for Sizes 1-3 and/or those who prefer a shorter body length, Version II is recommended for Sizes 4–7 or those who wish to have a mid-range length, and Version III is for Sizes 8–11 or those who prefer a longer length.
    • This garment’s construction allows for a mixing-and-matching of body and sleeve sizes to tailor fit; see Schematic for dimensions.

    GAUGE

    • 32 stitches & 40 rows = 4”/10 cm in Left or Right Pattern with Size A needle, after blocking
    • 24-stitch panel of Left or Right Pattern measures 3”/7.5 cm wide with Size A needle, after blocking
    • 28 stitches & 40 rounds = 4”/10 cm in reverse stockinette stitch with Size A needle, after blocking
    • Note: Both stitch and row gauge are important in this pattern; since the body is worked side-to-side, the number of rows worked determines the width of the piece.
