CONSTRUCTION
- The sleeve is cast on and worked from classic long sleeve, tall long sleeve, or three-quarter bloused sleeve instructions. The 1x1 ribbed hem is worked on the smaller needle, then the majority of the sleeve is worked in stockinette stitch on the larger needle following shaping instructions for chosen sleeve silhouette. A short distance before the underarm section, an increase transition row is worked and the fabric switches to 2x2 ribbing. When the underarm is reached, sleeve is set aside; underarm stitches are placed on hold. The second sleeve is worked in the same manner.
- The body is cast on circularly, the ribbed hem is worked on the smaller needle, then the majority of the body is worked in stockinette on the larger needle. A short distance before the underarm section, an increase transition row is worked and the fabric switches to 2x2 ribbing.
- Sleeves and body are joined with mirroring sets of held underarm stitches on either side. Yoke is worked in 2x2 ribbing and raglan shaping begins.
- In the final 2”/5 cm of the yoke, a section of short rows is worked to shape the neck for a better fit. Decreases on the back and sleeves of the yoke continue during this short row section.
- After completion of the yoke, the 1x1 ribbed neckband is worked on the smaller needle. The underarm stitches are grafted together to finish.
