Pattern specs
CONSTRUCTION
- The pullover is worked from the top down. Knitting begins with the ribbed neckband, followed by a set of short rows to improve neckline fit, then the raglan shoulder shaping is worked to underarms.
- At underarms, stitches for body and sleeves are divided onto separate needles/waste yarn and worked separately.
- The pattern includes waist shaping but shaping may be omitted if a straight silhouette is preferred.
- Three sleeve length options are provided: short, half and long sleeve. All sleeves are worked in 1x1 ribbing, with the final 1½"/4 cm at the cuff worked with a smaller needle.
- Working the sweater top-down allows it to be tried on while the garment is in progress. We recommend trying on your garment at the end of the raglan shaping to make sure your chosen size is a proper fit in the shoulders and chest. As you approach the end of the body and sleeve sections, try the garment on to verify the lengths for these sections. Add or subtract sleeve/ body length as needed for a tailored fit.
