Product description

“Growing up I spent many weekends with a quilter Grandmother who worked with a historian collecting oral histories on 19th and early 20th century Vermont quilts. Afternoons were spent rifling through her vast collection of fabric fragments and poring over the patchwork, admiring how patterns and textures can be layered creating a whole much greater then the sum of its parts. This cardigan, like those quilts, doesn’t come from any single point of inspiration so much as it evolved in my imagination. Cables, lace and texture stitches, simple traditional knitting collected and layered on a cardigan with a subtle, folky character.” – Amy Christoffers

    Current Pattern: v4.0

    2 July 2012: Version 2.0

Chart 5 had Row 2 and 4 row numbers on the left – they have been switched to the right side of the chart, since this chart is worked circularly. Page 5: For the Waist Increase Row, the last sentence now says “4 stitches have been increased” (previously it said “decreased” here).

    6 August 2012: Version 3.0

Page 7, 1st Column, 5th Paragraph: The “work to” armhole measurement was updated. The text now reads “Work even until armhole measures 7¼ (7½, 7¾, 8, 8¼, 8½)” from underarm dividing row, ending with a RS row.” 27

    January 2015: Version 4.0

On Page 8, the third paragraph under Neck Band has been corrected to read: “Work 3 more rows in established rib, ending with a WS row.
