    YARDAGE

    • 1000 yards of worsted weight wool yarn (with fringe)


    YARN

    • 8 skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 140 yards/50g)
    • Photographed in color Long Johns


    Note: Fringe uses approximately 130 yards of yarn; if not making fringe, 7 skeins are required

  • Pattern specs

    CONSTRUCTION

    • The scarf is worked from side to side, using a circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches.
    • The fringe is added to the side edges of the piece using a crochet hook.
    • Pockets are sewn on to the scarf, and are closed with buttons.


    GAUGE

    • 16¼ stitches & 33½ rows = 4″ in Chart Pattern, after blocking


    NEEDLES

    • One 47″ circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed
    • Suggested Size: 5 mm (US 8)


    FINISHED DIMENSIONS

    • 80″ width; 12½” length (scarf is worked from side to side)
