• Product description

  Crisp, gansey-inspired texture animates the fabric of this handsome V-neck vest in Arbor. An all-over welted rib motif yields to rope cables and chevrons on the upper torso; wide purl gutters delineate the sides. The work begins in the round, then divides at the armholes for flat knitting to the shoulders. Single-rib tubular edge treatments, worked circularly after shoulder seaming, make a polished and professional finish. The pattern is written with slightly tapered or straight options for body shaping.

  CONSTRUCTION

  • This vest is worked circularly from the bottom up, and then divided to work the back and fronts flat separately after binding off stitches for the underarms. The armhole and neck edgings are worked circularly after sewing the shoulder seams.
