February 25 - May 27

In the gray days of midwinter, something bright & new to look forward to is just what we need. We’re excited to share a very special creative & collaborative community offering for Spring!

With so much going on in the world around us, it’s more important than ever to stay grounded & connected with a caring community. Taking time to keep up our practice of making & reading is essential to our well-being & to staying aligned with comfort & ease.

Let’s commit to self-care & creativity!

Join the BT Team & author Elizabeth Duvivier for a yarn, book & make along inspired by Elizabeth’s novel Three Skeins of Caledonia Blue, a sweet story of friendship, family & the way that creativity brings us home to ourselves.

Yes! There will be yarn! Yes! There will be prizes. Yes! There will be live gatherings to talk & share, but most importantly, there will be time enough to immerse yourself into a supportive creative space & emerge from this season with something you loved making.

THE YARN

“The color is unearthly, unworldly… seafoam and summer sky with a deep blue of autumn hydrangea, some strands are almost inky green while woven through are glints of turquoise as true as the Bermuda sea.”

– Three Skeins of Caledonia Blue

Inspired by Elizabeth’s description of this magical yarn, we got creative with our dyed wool stock & dreamed up six stunning new shades of Imbue Sport & Imbue Worsted that coordinate beautifully with our existing colorways!

Our limited edition yarn cones are ready for knitting, weaving & crocheting, with plenty of yardage for the biggest & coziest of projects.

THE BOOK

“This novel had me at hello. One knitter’s transatlantic quest for a sweater quantity of some enchanted yarn? Sold. But it’s so much more than that. Three Skeins of Caledonia Blue is a beautifully written story that dives headlong into the challenges of recalibrating one’s life at the midway point. The characters are so vivid and relatable it’s easy to forget you don’t know them off the page.”

– novelist & travel writer Camille DeAngelis

Three Skeins of Caledonia Blue tells the story of Mathilde, a woman who rebuilds her life & rediscovers joy with the help of three special skeins of yarn.

Explore the themes of friendship, mothers & daughters, and the restorative power of craft with this engaging read.

Join our monthly Zoom meetups for readings & discussion with author Elizabeth Duvivier.

THE MAKES

“Mathilde fingers the soft yarn and thinks again about that sweater… It has to be the simplest pattern in the universe, the neck is a few rows of seed stitch and the body is stockinette.”

– Three Skeins of Caledonia Blue

We’re dreaming of big, cozy projects – blankets, shawls, sweaters – to maximize our making enjoyment! Shop our limited edition yarns & pattern picks, or cast on with any BT yarn or pattern to join the fun.

Get inspired, share your progress, and connect with fellow crafters in our Ravelry thread.

Post your projects in the thread to enter our prize drawing (WIPs welcome!):
