CONSTRUCTION
- The pieces are worked flat from the bottom up, and sewn together. The collar is picked up and worked during garment assembly. The button and buttonhole bands are worked separately at a tighter stitch gauge and sewn to each side of the placket opening and collar.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
- 40 (44¼, 48½, 52¾, 57, 61¼)” circumference at chest
- Sample shown is size 44¼” with + 6¼” ease on cover model, + 5¼” ease on second model

GAUGE
- 15 stitches & 40 rows = 4″ in Thermal Texture Stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking
NEEDLES
Size A (for Main Fabric):
- One pair of straight needles or a 24″ circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed
- Suggested Size: 5 mm (US 8)
Size B (for Ribbing):
- One pair of straight needles or a 24″ circular needle, one size smaller than Size A
- Suggested Size: 4½ mm (US 7)
Size C (for Placket, Collar, and optional Tubular Cast On):
- One 24″ circular needle, one size smaller than Size B
- Suggested Size: 4 mm (US 6)
Size D (optional; for Tubular Bind Off only):
