CONSTRUCTION

• Cardigan is worked in 3 pieces: Sleeves are worked in the round to the underarms, and Body is worked flat to the armholes. All pieces are then joined and the upper Body is worked in one piece to completion.
• Pieces are worked from the bottom up.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS

• 39½ (43, 46¼, 49¾, 53, 56½, 59¾)” garment at chest
• Sample shown is size 43″ with + 10″ ease on model

GAUGE

• 19 stitches & 25 rows = 4″ in stockinette stitch, after blocking
• 27-stitch panel from either Chart measures 6″ wide

NEEDLES

• One 32″ circular and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge listed
• Suggested Size: 5 mm (US 8)

• Worsted weight wool yarn in the following approximate amounts: 1220 (1345, 1535, 1720, 1880, 2090, 2315) yards

• 9 (10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17) skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 140 yards/50g)

On Page 6, under Shape Shoulders, additional information as been added to the Note as follows: “Note: On the two smallest sizes, the second last shoulder decrease stitch will align with the purl column on either side of the patterned front band; continue to purl stitches through this column.Work the final decrease so that the purl column is maintained. You will have 26 stitches remaining in the front panels: continue to work the first/last 25 stitches as charted, and maintain the purl column in place next to the marker. You will have eliminated one stitch from the panel (the next-to-last stitch).“
