Svenson (Classic)

CONSTRUCTION

• The pieces are worked separately from the bottom up and sewn together. The main fabric of the lower body is worked on a slightly smaller needle for subtle shaping. The neckband is picked up and worked circularly after garment assembly.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS

• 38¾ (43¼, 47¾, 51¼, 55¼, 59¾)” [98.5 (110, 121.5, 130, 140.5, 152) cm] circumference at chest
• Sample shown in Fleet is size 43¼” [110 cm] with 3¼” [8 cm] ease on model
• Sample shown in Butte is size 47¾" [121.5 cm] with 16" ease on Allison and 8¼" ease on Tammy

GAUGE

• 22 stitches & 34 rows = 4″ in Moss Stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking
• 28½ stitches & 34 rows = 4″ in Purl Honeycomb Chart pattern with Size A needle(s), after blocking
• One 32-stitch panel from Horseshoe Chart measures approximately 4″ wide with Size A needle(s), after blocking
• 40-stitch panel from Sleeve Chart measures approximately 5½” wide with Size A needle(s), after blocking

NEEDLES

Size A (for Upper Body and Sleeves)

• One pair of straight needles or a 32″ circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed
• Suggested Size: 4½ mm (US 7)

Size B (for Lower Body)

• One pair of straight needles or a 32″ circular needle one size smaller than Size A
• Suggested Size: 4 mm (US 6)

Size C (for Ribbing)

• One pair of straight needles or a 32″ circular needle and one 16″ circular needle (two if using Tubular Bind Off) two sizes smaller than Size A
• Suggested Size: 3¾ mm (US 5)
