Product description

Commit to coziness in a voluminous batwing cardigan knit from Quarry. Multidirectional construction makes for an engaging knit and a visually intriguing garment; the staggered columns of welts and eyelets form an allover scale pattern that shifts direction as you work the sleeve panels upward from the cuffs, then pick up stitches to knit the back and fronts downward after shaping the shoulders with short rows. A wide band of double ribbing lets the fronts hang gracefully open. Stonehaven is a statement piece that adds instant glamour to simple outfits, but there’s nothing to stop you from wearing it over your pajamas as well.

Designer: Véronik Avery

Collection: Winter 2017

    CONSTRUCTION

    • The shoulder bands are worked first from the cuff to the center back and joined together using the Joinery Bind Off. The rest of the garment

is worked from the top down from picked-up stitches along the shoulder bands. The back stitches are picked up along one side of the band and the shoulders are shaped using Short Rows: Wrap & Turn Method. The fronts are worked in the same manner before joining all pieces in order for the body to continue in one piece to the hem. The bottom hem is finished with 2x2 ribbing, and ribbing is also applied to the front opening and the cuffs.
