CONSTRUCTION

  • This hat is worked circularly from brim to crown.


GAUGE

  • 31 stitches & 40 rounds = 4" in Twin Rib pattern with Size A needle(s), after blocking
  • 28 stitches & 72 rounds (36 countable rounds) = 4" in Fisherman’s Rib pattern, unstretched with Size B needle, after blocking


NEEDLES

Size A (for Main Fabric)

  • One 16" circular needle and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs)* in size needed to obtain gauge listed
  • Suggested Size: 3.5 mm (US 4)


Size B (for Brim)

  • One 16" circular needle* in size needed to obtain gauge listed
  • Suggested Size: 2.25 mm (US 1)


FINISHED DIMENSIONS

  • Beanie (Slouchy)
  • 18½" [47 cm] circumference, 8 (10)” [20.5 (25.5) cm] length
