Product description

The play between horizontal and vertical is evident in Ponti’s serene geometry, and one would be hard pressed to find a more comfortable sweater. A cozy waffle stitch runs perpendicular to wide garter ridges in the front band, allowing ample room for cocooning in this relaxed and welcoming design. Instructions are provided for both cropped and full length versions, to better tailor to one’s personal flair. Worked flat from the bottom up and separated for the shoulders, Ponti’s approachable construction means this garment can go with you everywhere — both as you work it and as you wear it.

    CONSTRUCTION

    • Both the classic and cropped versions are worked flat in one piece to the underarms, then fronts and back are worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are worked flat from the cuff and sewn to the body.
    • Though the cardigan is worked flat, a 32" or longer circular needle is recommended for the body of the larger sizes to accommodate the large number of stitches.
    • There are two options for working the collar extensions and bottom band: they can either be worked on their own and sewn to the cardigan, or attached as they are worked to live stitches along the back neck and bottom edge.

    FINISHED DIMENSIONS
