Pattern Specs
CONSTRUCTION
- Both the classic and cropped versions are worked flat in one piece to the underarms, then fronts and back are worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are worked flat from the cuff and sewn to the body.
- Though the cardigan is worked flat, a 32" or longer circular needle is recommended for the body of the larger sizes to accommodate the large number of stitches.
- There are two options for working the collar extensions and bottom band: they can either be worked on their own and sewn to the cardigan, or attached as they are worked to live stitches along the back neck and bottom edge.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
- 36 (40, 44, 48, 52) (56, 60, 64, 68)" [91.5 (101.5, 112, 122, 132) (142, 152.5, 162.5, 172.5) cm] circumference at chest with fronts overlapping
- Sample shown is size 48" [122 cm] with 9" [23 cm] positive ease on model
