Pattern Specs
CONSTRUCTION
- Mittens are worked flat and seamed mid-palm and at the top using a Joinery Bind Off.
- Thumb placement is established using waste yarn as you knit; stitches are picked up to work the thumbs in the round.
- The cuff is picked up after mitten is complete and worked circularly in garter stitch.
GAUGE
- Finished Gauge: 24½ stitches & 51 rows = 4″ in garter stitch with Gauge Needles, after blocking
NEEDLES
Gauge Needle:
- One pair of straight needles (or circular, if preferred) and one set of Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge listed
- Suggested Size: 2¾ mm (US 2)
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
- 8″ hand circumference; 10″ length from cuff to fingertip
