Pattern Specs
CONSTRUCTION
- Scarf halves are knit separately, from bottom up – beginning with Seed Stitch hem.
- After both halves have been knit, live stitches from each end are grafted together – this occurs at exact center of scarf.
GAUGE
- 26 stitches & 38 rounds = 4″ in single-color Stockinette Stitch in the Round with Single-Color Gauge Needle, after blocking
- 26 stitches & 28 rounds = 4″ in Stranded Colorwork in the round with Colorwork Gauge Needle, after blocking
NEEDLES
- One set of DPNs (or long circular, if using the Magic Loop Method) in size needed to obtain single-color Stockinette Stitch Gauge (suggested: US 5/3¾ mm)
- One set of DPNs (or long circular) in size needed to obtain Stranded Colorwork Gauge (suggested: US6/4 mm)
Note: It is likely that your needle sizes will vary for matching gauge from the suggested sizes. We recommend swatching both single-color and colorwork fabrics to determine proper needle sizes for each section
SIZES
- 72″ long, 14″ circumference (creating 7″ scarf width)
Please note: the stitch patterns in this garment are charted only.
