CONSTRUCTION

• This garment is worked flat in one piece from the bottom up to the underarms, then the fronts and back are worked separately. The shoulders are joined using Invisible Weaving.
• Sleeve stitches are picked up from the armhole edge, then worked circularly to the cuff. Stitches for the front bands and collar are picked up and worked flat on a circular needle.
• The first inch of the pocket linings are worked first, then set aside. When the body of the cardigan reaches the start of the pocket, the pocket linings are joined and worked with the body. The pocket fronts are then worked to the same height and joined to the pocket linings.

• 42 (46, 50, 54, 58, 63)" [106.6 (117, 127, 137, 147.5, 160) cm] circumference at chest

GAUGE

• 20 stitches & 32 rows = 4" in Osier Stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking

NEEDLES

Size A (for Main Fabric)

• One 47" circular needle, two 24" circular needles and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs)* in size needed to obtain gauge listed
• Suggested size: 4 mm (US 6)

Size B (for Ribbing)

• One 47" circular needle and one set of DPNs*, one size smaller than Size A
• Suggested size 3.75 mm (US 5)

*32" or longer circular needle can be used instead of DPNs if using the Magic Loop method for working small circumferences in the round (e.g. sleeves).
