Pattern Specs
CONSTRUCTION
- The garment is worked from the top down, beginning with the back shoulders, which are worked separately, then joined at the back neck. The back is worked flat to the underarm, and then placed on hold. The front is worked in the same manner. The back and front are then joined, and the body is worked circularly to the hem edge. The sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole, the sleeve is shaped with short rows to create a downwards angle matching the shoulder slope, and then the sleeve is worked circularly down to the cuff. The neckband is picked up and worked circularly after blocking.
The back shoulder stitches are cast on using 2 strands of yarn held together, to give stability to the shoulder. The second strand is broken before beginning to knit.
