  • Pattern specs

    CONSTRUCTION

    • The Body is worked flat in one piece on a circular needle to the underarms. The Back and Fronts are divided and worked separately to the shoulders.
    • The Sleeve is worked in the round from the cuff to the underarm, then the cap is worked back and forth.
    • An Applied I-Cord edging is worked at the Hem, Cuff, and Neck edges.
    • The Front Bands are worked separately in a ribbed pattern and are sewn to the garment front edges.


    FINISHED DIMENSIONS

    • 32¾ (36½, 40, 43½, 47, 50½)” finished (snapped) garment at chest
    • Sample shown is size 36½” with +2½” ease on model

    GAUGE

    • 18 stitches & 27 rounds = 4″ in stockinette stitch with Size A Needles; before and after blocking


    NEEDLES

    Size A (for Main Fabric):

    • One each 16″ and 32″ circular needles and a set of 5 double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge listed
    • Suggested Size: 4½ mm (US 7)


    Size B (for Edging and Bands):

    • One 32″ long circular needle two sizes smaller than Size A Needle
    • Suggested Size: 3¾ mm (US 5)
