Pattern Specs
CONSTRUCTION
- This scarf is worked in two pieces, each from the cast-on edge to the center. The pieces are then joined.
GAUGE
- 13¼ stitches & 39 rows = 4″ in Purled Brioche Rib with Size A needle, after blocking
Note that for Brioche Rib, each elongated stitch in a column of knit stitches represents two rows; when you count these it will appear that 19½ rows = 4”.
NEEDLES
Size A (for Main Fabric)
- One circular needle* (any length) in size needed to obtain gauge listed
- Suggested Size: 4 mm (US 6)
Size B (for Tubular Cast On and Ribbing)
- One circular needle* (any length), two sizes smaller than Size A
- Suggested Size: 3½ mm (US 4)
*Scarf may be worked on straight needles if preferred, but circular needles are required for joining the two halves.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
- 9½” [24 cm] wide; 63″ [160 cm] long
