CONSTRUCTIONS
- Mittens are worked in the round from the bottom up.
GAUGE
- 11.5 (10) stitches & 17 (15) rounds = 2″ in Stockinette Stitch with Gauge Needle;
- 13 (11) stitches & 16 (14) rounds = 2″ over Palm Stitch with Gauge Needle (all gauge measurements taken after blocking)
- 30-stitch cable motif on top of hand measures 3.5 (4)” relaxed after blocking (this measurement does not include 3-stitch side cables)
NEEDLES
- One set of double-pointed needles (or one large circular if using Magic Loop Method) in size needed to obtain gauges listed above
- One set of DPNs (or large circular) four sizes smaller than Gauge Needle
- Suggested sizes: Gauge Needle: US 6/4 mm (US 7/4.5 mm) Smaller Needle: US 3/3.25 mm (US 4/3.5 mm)
