Product description

The on-trend silhouette of the Collomia pullover offers a dramatic canvas for a timeless stranded colorwork yoke. The woolen-spun texture of Shelter yarn softens the bold stripes and ornate snowflake motifs. With seams only at the underarms and knit at a worsted gauge, Collomia is just as alluring to knit as it is to wear.

Knit from the bottom up, the front and back of Collomia are cast on separately for the split hem, then joined knit circularly in one piece. The colorful yoke is worked in the round. Sleeves are first created with a provisional cast-on, then joined with the yoke; once the yoke is complete, the sleeves are worked circularly from the top down.

    CONSTRUCTION

    • Sleeve stitches are provisionally cast on and worked for a few rounds before being placed on hold while the body is worked. The front and back are worked flat in pieces from the bottom up, then joined to create vents. The remainder of the body is worked circularly from the bottom up. The sleeve beginnings and body are joined and once the yoke is complete, the sleeves are picked up from the Provisional Cast On and worked circularly from the top down.
    • Short Rows: German Method (see Special Techniques) are used to shape the hems and raise the back neck.
    • Two sleeve versions are given.
