CONSTRUCTION
- Garment is knit from the bottom up in one piece to the underarms; at this point Fronts and Back are divided and worked separately to the shoulders.
- The sleeves are knit in the round to the underarm, then cap shaping is worked back and forth in rows.
- Buttonband and collar – each worked in 1x1 ribbing – are picked up and worked directly from the Body of the garment during finishing.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
- 36 (39, 42, 44¾, 47¾, 50¾)” finished (blocked) garment at chest
- Sample shown is size 36″ with +4″ ease on model

GAUGE
- Working Gauge: 22 stitches & 32 rows/rounds = 4″ in Granite Stitch with Size A needle; before blocking 23 stitches & 34 rows = 4″ in Charted Lace pattern with Size A needle; measurement taken from relaxed fabric
- Finished Gauge: 22 stitches & 32 rows/rounds = 4″ in Granite Stitch with Size A needle; measurement taken from relaxed fabric after light blocking (with very slight stretch) 23 stitches & 32 rows = 4″ in Charted Lace pattern with Size A needle; measurement taken from relaxed fabric after blocking (with very slight stretch)
NEEDLES
Size A (for Main Fabric)
- One 32″ circular and a set of double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauges listed
- Suggested Sizes: 3¾ mm (US 5)
Size B (for Ribbed Edgings and Buttonbands)
- One 32″ circular and a set of DPNs 3 sizes smaller than Size A
- Suggested Size: 2¾ mm (US 2)

Chart 5 had Row 2 and 4 row numbers on the left – they have been switched to the right side of the chart, since this chart is worked circularly. Page 5: For the Waist Increase Row, the last sentence now says “4 stitches have been increased” (previously it said “decreased” here).

Page 7, 1st Column, 5th Paragraph: The “work to” armhole measurement was updated. The text now reads “Work even until armhole measures 7¼ (7½, 7¾, 8, 8¼, 8½)” from underarm dividing row, ending with a RS row.” 27
