Product description

The geometric motif and dusky palette of the Auna shawl evoke a sunset hitting a high desert cliff. Knit with Vale, a laceweight yarn spun from 100% USA-grown Rambouillet wool, Auna’s simple garter-stitch triangles strike the perfect balance of whisper-soft drape and enduring springiness.

Each triangle is shaped with simple yarnovers and worked separately. After seaming, the border is picked up around the edge and knit in the round.

    CONSTRUCTION

    • This shawl is constructed by making five separate triangles. Each triangle is worked from the pointed bottom tip up, beginning with 1 stitch. Stitches are increased by working a yarn over (YO) at the beginning of every row.
    • The triangles are joined together along the side edges. The edging is then worked from the live stitches of each triangle and stitches picked up from the yarn over loops on the outside edges of the first and last triangles.
