  • Pattern specs

    CONSTRUCTION

    • The body is worked circularly from the bottom up, then the front and back are worked flat to the shoulders with a garter stitch selvedge {GSS} at each edge. The sleeves are worked circularly to the underarm, then the cap is worked flat with a garter stitch selvedge {GSS} at each edge. The neckband is picked up and worked circularly after garment assembly, and is bound off using the Tubular Bind Off, or simply bound off in pattern, if preferred.
    • The Sloped Bind Off is used when shaping the shoulders and neck.


    FINISHED DIMENSIONS

    • 39 (43, 46¾, 50¾, 54¾, 58½)” circumference at chest
    • Sample shown is size 43″ with + 4″ ease on models

    GAUGE

    • 20½ stitches & 33 rows/rounds = 4″ in stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking
    • 20½ stitches & 37½ rows/rounds = 4″ in Front or Back Chart Pattern with Size A needle(s), after blocking


    NEEDLES

    Size A (for Main Fabric):

    • One each 16″ and 32″ circular needles and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge listed
    • Suggested Size: 3¾ mm (US 5)


    Size B (for Ribbing):

    • One each 16″ and 32″ circular needles and one set of DPNs, one size smaller than Size A
    • Suggested Size: 3½ mm (US 4)
