Beginning January 1, 2015, the EU (European Union) began charging a VAT (Value Added Tax) fee on digital goods sales. Additionally, effective July 1, 2021, all goods shipped to the EU are also subject to VAT.

With this in mind, VAT may be charged on all digital knitting pattern PDFs and shipped goods purchased from BrooklynTweed.com by customers in the EU.

VAT fees vary by EU country and are determined based on the IP address and the address on file with your credit card or PayPal account. You can find specific VAT rates for each EU country here.

Brooklyn Tweed is OSS registered (One Stop Shop) and pays all collected VAT fees to the EU at the end of each quarter.
