Product description
A plush brioche cowl finishes the distinctive eight-point cabled yoke of this snuggly pullover. Gentle A-line shaping and 5–6” of ease make Riptide comfortable and cozy. The knitting is seamless, with the body and sleeves worked in the round from the single-ribbed hem and cuffs upward and then united for the circular yoke. Cleverly placed brioche helps to lower the front neck without the use of short rows and smoothly transitions to a cowl knit from the live stitches. Knit in chunky-weight Quarry, this sweater will fly off the needles. Riptide makes a good canvas for our darker colors, as the bold and simple pattern won’t be lost.

CONSTRUCTION
- The body and sleeves are worked circularly from the lower edge to the underarms. They are then joined and the yoke is worked in one piece. The collar is continued from the yoke stitches.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
- 37¼ (40½, 45¼, 48½, 53¼, 56½)” circumference at chest
- Sample shown is size 40½” with 8½” positive ease on model
Need help picking a size? See our resource page on Selecting a Sweater Size 101.
GAUGE
- 14 stitches & 21 rounds = 4″ in stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking
- 11½ stitches & 34 rounds = 4″ in Brioche Rib with Size A needle(s), after blocking
Note that for Brioche Rib, each elongated stitch in a column of knit stitches represents two rounds; when you count these it will appear that 17 rounds = 4″
