Dear Friends,
We're reaching out today with important news—and hearts filled with gratitude.
Beginning in June 2025, Brooklyn Tweed will return to its roots as a pattern-only design company, transitioning out of yarn manufacturing. This decision was not easy, nor driven by any lack of viability: BT yarns remain beloved and vibrant, thanks to your incredible support.
Instead, we're following our personal creative paths, seeking space to explore new ideas while honoring the spirit of what we've built together over the past 20 years.
This change marks not an ending, but the next step in our ongoing journey. We're eager to learn, grow, and explore new creative avenues. Soon, we'll launch an updated website showcasing our extensive library of over 800 original patterns—an inspiring platform for both past and future projects. Our celebrated designs will continue to be available, and we look forward to sharing even more creative work with you in the years to come.
We're not going anywhere—this is simply the start of a new chapter.
Producing yarn in the U.S. has been profoundly rewarding and challenging. We've been incredibly fortunate to pursue our passion for quality and craftsmanship, thanks entirely to your support. Together, we've cultivated a community centered around beautiful American wool, thoughtful design, and the timeless art of knitting. Each skein and pattern we’ve created reflects our dedication to care, creativity, and purpose.
The final months of Brooklyn Tweed yarn production will be a celebration, honoring the yarns that have accompanied your creative journey. Complete your projects, stock your collections, and cherish these final yards along with us.
Our commitment to providing meticulously crafted, inspiring patterns remains stronger than ever. Brooklyn Tweed will continue to offer the exceptional quality and innovative design you’ve come to expect. Raising the standard for knitters everywhere has always been—and will remain—central to our mission.
We understand this news may feel bittersweet. Like all beautiful experiences, this chapter is fleeting, but the spirit of BT endures.
On behalf of our entire team, thank you for your trust, creativity, and unwavering support. You, our cherished knitting community, are truly the heart and soul of Brooklyn Tweed.
Join us in celebrating these remarkable yarns—collect, create, and treasure this moment. We look forward to continuing our shared journey with you. Keep in touch, and we’ll do the same!
With deepest gratitude,

Jared and Luigi, hands down you have the best designs and technical patterns available, as well as spectacular photography. I am delighted this part will remain however I am sad to hear the yearn production is coming to a halt though. As a lamb and wool producer I understand the challenges of yarn production with so few mills and dye shops still open in the US. Maybe at a later date this will once again become a viable option to add back in to your repertoire. In the mean time I will continue to knit up some gorgeous garments with my remaining BT yarns, then with other quality products.
Best of luck. You did so much to renew my interest in knitting. Looking forward to your next chapter and new patterns. In this new phase will you recommend yarns?
Your yarns are unique and some of the loveliest I’ve worked with. They will be really missed!! RIP Arbor! <3
Thank you so very much for your wonderful yarn! All the best.
