Love from Our Community

I have made quite a few sweaters from your patterns and they all remain among the sweaters i reach for on a daily basis.  I love the creativity, attention to detail, and professional details, all so carefully considered.

When I was in middle school around 2010 I asked my mom to re-teach me how to knit [sic] while watching Tangled. I fell in love with the meditative and somewhat addictive nature of knitting scarves and wanted to find patterns. I found Jared’s Quay scarf and Timberline cardigan, realising that I had found a guy who knits and does it with great excellence as I looked through the different pattern books. I’ve used BT yarn and patterns to knit my family and friends so much knitwear and I very quickly surpassed my mom’s skill set.

I began following Jared's shenanigans back when Brooklyn Tweed was a blog where he shared knitting projects and ideas about the craft. I'd just picked up knitting again, after a long hiatus. I so love his aesthetic, his design sensibility!

I took up knitting again (after many years) in 2016. I discovered Brooklyn Tweed yarns and patterns very early. Kept picking Norah Gaughan and Jared Flood patterns without any real awareness of knitting pattern designers. By the time I realized that I was gravitating to the same designers I had already knit a number of patterns (in Brooklyn Tweed yarns of course).Thank you so much for all the lovely yarn and patterns and look forward to many more patterns.
