Pattern Specs
CONSTRUCTION
- Pullover is worked circularly from the bottom up. The bottom band is shaped using short rows to make the back longer than the front.
- Openwork panels are worked on the side seams but do not extend to the underarms. A decorative triangular inset comprised of decreases and matching increases flanking a ground of reverse stockinette is positioned directly below the neckline.
- The upper portion of the pullover is worked back and forth in rows to shape the neckline. At that point, the beginning of the row is repositioned to the left front from its old position of the left back raglan when working in the round. This is done so as to keep the decreases on right side rows only.
- The hood is picked up and is shaped in three ways: first, the lower front edges are given additional length through the use of short rowing, then the back of the hood is shaped by increasing to its full width followed by decreases to taper the top of the hood. The halves are then joined by grafting
