  • Pattern materials

    YARN

    Any yarn weight, from fingering to chunky, will work for this pattern.

    • Color 1 (C1): Hair/Beard
    • Color 2 (C2): Ear/Nose/Skin
    • Color 3 (C3): Hat, short or long


    YARDAGE

    Below are some approximate yardage requirements for one bearded gnome, depending upon chosen sizes for ears, nose and hat:

    • Fingering/Sport: 15-20 yards/14-18 meters of C3, 5-10 yards/5-9 meters each of C1 and C2
    • DK/Worsted: 15-25 yards/14-23 meters of C3, 5-13 yards/5-12 meters each of C1 and C2
    • Chunky: 20-30 yards/18-28 meters of C3, 7-15 yards/7-14 meters each of C1 and C2
  • Pattern specs

    NEEDLES

    Two sets of double pointed needles in size appropriate for your yarn. Suggested sizes:

    • Fingering: 3.25 mm/US 3
    • Sport/DK: 3.75 mm/US 5
    • Worsted: 4.5 mm/US 7
    • Chunky: 5.5 mm/US 9
