Out where sunlight dances on golden fields, Alvord keeps you warm as the cool summer evening sets in. Inspired by the grab-and-go comfort of your favorite sweatshirt, this drop-shoulder pullover combines classic textures with modern tailoring. Alvord’s thick bands of familiar garter and simple seed stitch are gorgeous in one color and radiant in two, whether knit in Arbor’s saturated solids or the softly tonal hues of Dapple’s organic cotton and Merino wool blend. Make this breezy pullover all yours with the personalized fit of mix-and-match body and sleeve sizes.

Pattern Specs

CONSTRUCTION

  • This pullover is worked from the top down. The back is worked first to the underarm, with short rows to shape the shoulders (see Special Techniques: Short Rows: Wrap and Turn method). Stitches are picked up from the back shoulders for each side of the front and the fronts are worked separately to the end of the neck shaping, then joined and worked to the underarm. The back and front are joined and the body is worked circularly to the hem. Stitches are picked up from the armholes for the sleeves, which are worked circularly to the cuff.
  • This garment’s construction allows for a mixing-and-matching of body and sleeve sizes to tailor fit; see Schematic for dimensions.
