Holiday Knitting Kits

At BT Headquarters we've been busy preparing some special woolly treats for the holiday season. When we started thinking about good gift ideas for knitters, handknitting kits seemed like a great option since they are so versatile! They of course make great gifts for knitters, but are equally useful as a way of treating yourself to something special, or even gifting the finished project on its own (two birds with one stone). BT Fall 12

The minute September arrives it's like an internal alarm goes off in my head. I think it must be a knitter thing, because most of the knitters in my life have the same impulse. Wool People 3

At Brooklyn Tweed HQ we always laugh to ourselves a bit about summer knitting. Knit Red

I'm excited to have been asked to be a part of Knit Red – a new book collaboration between Jimmy Beans Wool and Vogue Knitting. The submission timeline dovetailed with the launch of Loft last year, so I had to give these classics a whirl in our Long Johns colorway. I love how rich they are – a nice contrast to the apple green Shetland...

Spring Thaw

Pardon our silence... we've been busy this Winter! Our design studio has been a flurry of activity in recent months and we are happy to finally bring you some proof of that this morning! Today we're happy to introduce Spring Thaw: a collection of 17 designs for knitting from Winter to Spring. When the three of us first started knocking around ideas for this group of patterns, colorwork was a unanimous source of inspiration for all. This was also our first chance to create a collection while having access to the full BT yarn palette from day one. Our initial run...
