Loft in Caraway and Amaranth

We have exciting news for anyone who loves the textures of woolen-spun yarn: Brooklyn Tweed’s marled colors are now available in Loft, and there are two new colors to round out the palette!

Our marled colors are created by combining two strands that are each a different color into a 2-ply yarn. The resulting yarn knits up into a speckled fabric, adding rustic depth to stitch patterns like stockinette, ribbing or even brioche.

Amaranth and Caraway

The marls include two striking new colors: Amaranth, a sirenic mix of red and burgundy, and Caraway, a fiery sunset marled with rugged earthen shades. Our original marls are also available: Caribou, Narwhal, and Newsprint.

Our marled colors are available in Shelter and– for the first time ever– Loft, so now you can add some marled goodness to your lighter weight projects.

Skipp hat; knit with Loft in color Amarath

The marls really shine in Jared Flood’s newest pattern, Skipp, a brioche stitch hat worked in Loft with plenty of color and stripe variations to explore. If you’re as eager to cast on the new Loft marls as we are, shop our Skipp kits. And, for the rest of April, you can get the pattern as a gift when you purchase any of the marled colorways of Loft to make Skipp.

Join us for our #SkippKAL, starting April 17 — we’ll be sharing more information soon!

We can’t wait to see what you create with the marled colors.
